Katie Brahaney is a Tax Manager at Annex Wealth Management.

As Tax Manager, Katie oversees tax preparation, review and approval of tax returns. Katie leads tax client engagement, developing and executing strategies to minimize client tax liabilities. Katie’s tax specialties include tax planning for individuals and small businesses, tax audit representation and rental income.

Katie is an enrolled agent, admitted to practice before Internal Revenue Service (IRS.) Between her work in the private and public sectors, she has over a decade of tax experience. Prior to joining Annex, she represented taxpayers as part of one of the largest tax audit defense firms, along with having owned and operated her own tax firm for several years in Asheville, North Carolina. She also previously worked at IRS in their Wage and Investment and Small Business and Self-Employed divisions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical and Professional Writing from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys creating art, hiking with her dog and visiting National Parks.
